6:35 am: Smaller scale surf continues into Sunday morning with the wave height looking shin to knee high or so. A bit choppy and breaking shallow, though there are a few more longboard-able looking waves coming through at times. The wind is lighter side-offshore NNW early this morning. On our St Augustine buoy the current morning reading is 2 feet at 7 seconds just changed a little bit from yesterdays 2 feet at 5 seconds The marine forecast calling for light to moderate N/NE winds today, becoming SE this evening. The water temperature is measured at 76 degrees this morning at The Pier this morning, You can see the ocean live by viewing The Surf Station Cam Page here.

10:05 am: Small looking surf as we head toward mid day. It’s not flat though. I’ll take new photos and report back just after lunch….

2:15 pm: New afternoon photos are up in box #2 and you can see the waves have come up! Nothing great or big or anything but definitely a new angled N swell is pushing in. It is showing on the local buoy offshore as you can see. It makes since as there have been waves up north which are working their way southward. Some thigh high, occasionally bigger waves at times. What will it be like the rest of the day? We will see how much more the swell angles in (or not). Check the Surf Station Cam Page here for the latest….

8:30 pm: Evening note: The swell didn’t come up any more after that initial increase. We took some video less than an hour ago and you can see some lefts still rolling in with light onshores. Will the swell hold overnight? We will find out soon enough. Check back early-early for a fresh update… over and out...
