6:50 am: The local buoy has dropped a tad in size overnight, so the waves look to be a little smaller. The surface conditions are glassy early this morning with the waves looking 1 to occasionally 2 feet. The wind is super light to near calm . On our local buoy the early morning wave height reading is 2.3 feet at 8 seconds, down from yesterdays 2.6 feet at 8 seconds. Our local marine forecast calls for the wind to increase S this afternoon. Our water temperature is measured at 81 degrees offshore. You can see the ocean live by viewing The Surf Station Cam Page here.

7:35 am: Early morning photos are up in box #1 and you can see we have surf, but slightly smaller surf than yesterday. Waves look knee to maybe thigh high & glassy on second look. It’s dead low tide, and the hope is we will get a push with the incoming tide. It could happen

4:30 pm: New late afternoon photos are up in box #2 taken from 8th Street, pretty much right in front of THE DREDGE. Yes, there are some waves for your Friday evening happy hour surf session. Smallish overall, but there are some knee to thigh high semi-glassy lines to be found. Sort of sectioning off but some spots may be better. Some spots could be a little bigger too, but don’t want call it that without seeing that.
Lastly, the last photo in the evening slide show is back at the houses and you can see a cloudline with potential heavy rain. If it rains, it could glass off the surf and improve the surf, we will see…

Misc: We are so bummed our 3rd Street Cam is down again. It glitched out and won’t come back online. Digging into the problem, it may be the power supply or the whole cam may need to be replaced. We ordered a new power supply, and this device will be in next week. I am sure we can fix it, it’s just a matter of time. What a pain. Please be patient; we will fix it. Hopefully this coming week.
