People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does
bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.

Surf Reports comments:
6:55 am: Happy Frrriday! Hazy again this morning with the wave size around 1 to occasionally up to around 2 feet. The wind is S @ 6 knots with the marine forecast calling for increased SE winds later today. On the local buoy, the early morning wave height reading is 2.6 feet at 6 seconds, similar to yesterdays 2.6 feet at 5 seconds. You can see the ocean live on our cams page here.
.
7:25 am: Early morning photos are up in box #1 and it’s hard ot see the waves though the haze, but you. can see enough that there is surf. Wave size likely around knee to occasionally up to waist high, with most set waves around thigh high on the better lines. The lines are not very long with the short duration swell, although the swell is spreeading out some. We will get a better closer look at the surf on the next update…….
.
9:45 am: New mid morning photos are up in box #2 and you can see some small scale but fun waves for Friday. It looks a tad bigger than at daybreak, and maybe that is the incoming tide push already starting. Some spots could have some fun wet waves all morning long! We just gotta hope the wind does’t pick up too much…
.
11:15 am (note from Dean down south): Upstream NE Bahamas buoy is gradually shedding size this morning, so incoming tide today may be the last with more consistent 2′ set waves this week. Still, I expect there will still be rideable (fish/longboard) waves for the weekend if commitments kept you from getting wet this morning. We’re getting a nice incoming mid-tide push, as you can see on the Dunlawton B.S. tower cam (even though fuzzy with salt on the cam lense).
.
1:00 pm: Some more photos are added to the back end of the slideshow in box #2 and you can see some lines! These photos were taken off the roof of the place where the Surf Station’s St. Augustine Beach Weather Station is, which is on 3rd Street. You can see in the rooftop photos one of the surf station team members working on the weather station in the pics. We still do not have the wind calibrated, so it is off, way off. But we will get it working at some point. None of this is super easy, lol
