Weather comments from our weather page early this morning:
6:30 am: The last day of summer. Battling some storms and rain (isolated in nature) with showers offshore filtering on to shore at times . Rain early at Vilano, Downtown, Davis Shores and more. Clearing skies later in the morning. It feels great outside with mild air temperatures early this morning. Breezy with the high air temp today only 83. Looking ahead: Dryer over the weekend.
7:15 am: Passing rain at the beach early. Increasing ENE windswell surf. Along the beach wave size early is 2-3 feet with larger set waves. The surface conditions are semi-glassy to semi-choppy to choppy and mixed up with with sideshore winds early. On the local buoy, the early wave height measurement is 6.2 feet at 8 seconds up in size and duration from yesterdays 4.3 feet at 6 seconds.
