5:50 am: This is a predawn report with the best guesstimate on the wave size based on sounds at the beach and buoy data. Waves are likely 1-2 feet, possibly a little larger on some sets. The wind is light SSW at 2 knots so the surface conditions are likely glassy . The marine forecast calls for the wind to clock more offshore as the day goes on. On the local St. Augustine Buoy the early wave height measurements 3.3 feet at 5 seconds changed from yesterdays is 3 feet at 8 seconds .
