Surf Reports comments:

6:45 am: The wind is near calm again today @ daybreak. The waves look similar in size with the wave size 1 to occasionally up to 2 feet. It’s semi-glassy with the super light early morning wind The marine forecast calls for the wind to go SE @ 10 to 15 knots later on today. On the local buoy, the early morning reading is 2.3 feet at 9 seconds similar to yesterdays 2.3 feet at 8 seconds. You can see the ocean live by checking the surf station cams for a live look.

7:25 am: Early morning photos are up in box #1 and on second look, the waves look a a little smaller than the first look. Usually it’s the other way around, but not this morning, at least so far. Waves early look knee high to maybe thigh high on some set wave peaks, but that’s about it. Maybe it’s a lull and the swell will fill in, we will see….

10:05 am: On 3rd look the waves are bigger and better than the second look. Some swell filling in! Are there waves over waist high now? Will get photos and report back.

The lesson here is, when the buoy durations spread out… that’s a thicker wave so that wave can jack up moreso on the sandbar so the wave can be bigger. Let’s see if the coming photos show this…..

12:45 pm: New mid to late morning photos are up in box #2 and you can see some of the waves look fun! The waves are a little bigger than early this morning. The wind has turned onshore so it’s becoming a little bit choppy now, and will likely get choppier…..
