5:50 am: This is a predawn report with the best guesstimate on the wave size based on sounds at the beach and buoy data. Waves are likely 1-2 feet, possibly a little larger on some sets. The wind is light SSW at 2 knots so the surface conditions are likely glassy . The marine forecast calls for the wind to clock more offshore as the day goes on. On the local St. Augustine Buoy the early wave height measurements 3.3 feet at 5 seconds changed from yesterdays is 3 feet at 8 seconds . 7:10 am: Early morning photos are up in box #1 and from what we can see the waves are on the small side looking around knee to thigh high on second look. Still somewhat foggy and misty at the beach

9:55 am: At mid morning, there are some lines @ knee to up to waist high sliding through. The fairly strong offshore wind is picking up and is beating down the surf. High tide has many of the waves backing off on the middle bar before slamming over on the far inside. Of course, some spots may be better than along St. Augustine Beach…

2:30 pm: Continued small surf this afternoon. Waves are looking to be in the knee to thigh high range with some larger sets coming in. Some more strong offshore winds creating some clean surface conditions. New pics in box #2
