I never cared about money or fame, and I don’t care now. I follow the groove, and the money always follows.

11:15 am: It’s looking pretty blown out and choppy at report time, but the good news is that there’s still swell to be had. It’s looking to be in the 2 to 3 foot range on the inside and a bit larger on the outside, with more 4 foot or so sets. The conditions are semi-choppy to choppy, with our local winds currently blowing out of the ESE @ 9 to 14 knots. Overall, it’s looking pretty mixed up but there’s plenty of size and power. If you can deal with the choppier conditions, there’s still plenty of swell to be had.

7:00 pm: Evening note: Big choppy surf which is messy with the onshore winds. Here is a video clip or two from our surf report instagram stories from this evening. Check it out here.

After trouncing western Cuba, Raphael’s circulation is forecast to be centered in the Gulf of Mexico the rest of the week, spinning harmlessly while weakening. See what Dean has to say about impacts on our wind and waves in The Surf Station Forecast. Here is an overview of a large-scale wind map and the tropical activity outlook map for the Atlantic basin.
