7:20 am: Quite windy at the beach this morning. Increased waves overnight. Wave height looks about 2-3 feet early. The wind is NNE with the marine forecast is calling for stronger NE winds later today. . On the local buoy the early morning wave height measurement is 6.6 feet at 6 seconds up from yesterdays 3.3 feet at 4 seconds. You can see several surf spots on one page live, here. 8:20 am: Early morning photos are up in box #1 and you can see it’s very NE’ery a the beach. Strong NNE winds with waves sweeping down the beach. Waves look thigh to rib high with some chest high or so set waves. Quite choppy with continued NNE wind…

3:35 pm: Mid afternoon photos are up in box #2 and you can see it’s not as windy so not as choppy. In fact the choppy conditions are turning almost semi-glassy at report time. The size of the waves are holding after the increase, which is good news. Looks like surf all the way up till dark tonight for sure..

That all changed (sorry spring breakers) with colder weather and more sizeable surf following the second strong cold front in a week. How long will the chill last?
