7:45 am: Early morning photos are up box #1 and you can see the waves are starting to clean up. Light offshore winds creating semi-glassy to glassy conditions and fair, improving form. The size is around waist to chest high with some likely larger set waves pushing through. Some really fun waves may be able to be found this morning…

3:35 pm: New afternoon photos are up in box #2 and since this morning the wind has turned onshore so not as glassy and in fact semi-choppy now. The size has held into the early afternoon but may drop some later as the buoy is tapering off. In any event, the swell will be ridable and even fun surf all the way up till dark tight, with likely light onshores continuing, unless a shower pushes through….

After trouncing western Cuba as a Major Hurricane, Raphael entered the Gulf of Mexico where it degenerated into a harmless post-tropical/remnant low. That said, will there be any more tropical systems as the impactful 2024 hurricane season winds down in November? Maybe… even though the obese dame is warming up her vocals, don’t count her out from belting one more tune before Thanksgiving.
