Thursday 3/30/23

7:15 am: The surf is larger than this time yesterday. Choppy 1-2++ waves early, before sunrise . The wind is NE 13-14 knots helping kick up the waves with the marine forecast calling for the increased NE winds to continue today. . On the local buoy the early morning wave height measurement is 3.9 feet @ 9 seconds up from yesterday 1.6 feet at 14 seconds. You can see several surf spots on one page live, here. 9:25 am: Early morning photos are up in box #1 with the zoomed photos shot with my 70-210 lens instead of my 100-400 lens, by mistake. I was eyeballing them and wondering why they were not more zoomed staring at the photos early this morning on my monitor, lol . It doesn’t matter as any why you look at it, it’s quite choppy. There is more size than yesterday early morning as the increased swell of yesterday afternoon held overnight.

The swell has matured some as the duration is spreading, which is good news. Some over waist high waves with side onshore winds. Low tide will be quite choppy. Incoming tide may make it so the surf could be quite fun. Onshore wind inside high tide days can be super fun.

Left up from yesterday:

8:05 pm: Evening photos are up in box #3 and you can see it’s super choppy and drifty from the north. The surf is bigger than earlier. Some over waist high peaks and on the increase. Let’s hope it continues to increase overnight.
