6:55 am: Strong NE winds and increased surf. Wave size 2.5-3.5 feet with larger set waves. It’s choppy to rough with poor form. The marine forecast calls for continued NE strong winds, lightened up later in the day . On the local buoy the early morning wave height measurement is 7.2 feet at 10 seconds up from yesterdays 3.0 feet at 7 seconds. You can see several surf spots on one page live here. 8:15 am: Early morning photos are up in box #1 and you can see there are some large waves for your Monday. Sweeping N windswell with a lot of north current…

10:15 am: New mid morning photos are up in box #2 and you can see there some size today! I upped the size on this mid morning text update as there are some over chest high waves for sure. Drifty with lots of lefts like we called for yesterdays on our instagram. That’s local Zeeland Stahr going left on… if I had to guess I would say it’s that’s a Pavones wave? Not quite sure…

The system will be absorbed by an elonated trough of low pressure lingering in the Bahamas Sunday evening. Dean’s 7-Day Surf Forecast has the details on what this means for our surf (hint: a decent uptick in size (not directly related to post-Arlene).
