Surf Reports comments:
7:00 am: The waves look somewhat similar in size to yesterday early with the wave size at 1 to occasionally up to 2 feet. The surface conditions are semi-glassy to glassy, with the wind light SW early. The marine forecast calling for SE winds this afternoon. On the local buoy, the early morning wave height reading is 2.3 feet at 8 seconds changed from yesterdays 2.0 feet at 7 seconds. You can see the ocean live on our cams page here.
.
7:30 am: Early morning photos are up in box #1 and you can see we have at least a little bit of swell to ride for your Saturday. Small overall but there are some knee to maybe thigh high semi-glassy waves to be found. It’s inconsistent with lulls in between the sets. Hopefully the swell will hang in there, we will see…
.
8:45 am: Dean reporting from the south… the small ESE swell has held down my way better than expected as you can see on the Dunlawton Beach Safety tower cam. Ponce I is probably fun (and crowded!) this morning on the incoming tide. The NE Bahamas buoy still has a few ESE swell readings in the 3-4′ range this morning, and the period has spread out to 9 seconds, so we should continue to see fun but inconsistent set waves through this morning before the sea breeze messes it up.

12:45 pm: The waves are looking a tad smaller than what we’ve been seeing throughout the week, with waves in the 1-2 foot range. Surface conditions are still semi-glassy midday, with just a tiny bit of surface texture. Our local winds are still light, with winds blowing out of the W @ just about 5 knots. The local buoy reading is down from early this morning, currently reading 1.6 feet @ 9 seconds. We have a low tide approaching at 3:40 this afternoon, so if you’re looking to surf I would go check out your favorite low tide sandbar.
