TD#2 seized the brief window of opportunity Friday afternoon and became minimal Tropical Storm Arlene in the eastern GOMEX while dropping slowly SSE. The system should quickly weaken back to a depression over the weekend near western Cuba, then become a remnant low before being absorbed by a trough of low pressure lingering in the Bahamas Sunday afternoon.
