6:30 am: The waves look to have decrease overnight, in the shin to maybe knee high range early with some surface texture. Our local winds are currently blowing out of the S @ 7 knots. The local buoy reading is coming in at 3.0 @ 5.0 seconds, slightly up from yesterday’s 2 foot readings. The marine forecast calling for stronger SE winds through most of the day, increasing to 15 to 17 knots by the evening. The water temperature is measured at 75.4 degrees at The Pier this morning. Overall, it’s looking pretty small and disorganized at report time, but we’ll keep an eye on it throughout the day. You can see the ocean live by viewing The Surf Station Cam Page here.

1:00 pm: It’s looking similar in size to this morning, with waves in the half a foot to maybe one foot range. The conditions are now semi-choppy to choppy, with our local winds currently blowing out of the ESE @ 10 knots. The waves are looking weak and pretty mixed up at report time, with a low tide that just passed at 12:20 this afternoon. Overall, it’s looking small and weak with just okay form. There may be a little something to break out a soft top on if you were looking to get out there today.
