6:55 am: Small scale, semi-glassy conditions continuing for your Tuesday morning, with waves in the shin high range on first look Our local buoy is currently reading 1.6 feet at 8 seconds, the same as yesterdays early 1.6 feet @ 8 seconds reading. The local wind is SSW @ 2-3 knots ealry ealry. Our water temp at The Pier measured in at a warm 80 degrees early, and we have a high tide approaching at 12:35 this afternoon. The marine forecast projecting winds west then to become more S this afternoon. You can see the ocean live by viewing The Surf Station Cam Page here.
There is hope on the horizon next weekend (see Dean’s tease below)…
.
7:45 am: Early morning photos are up and posted in box #1 and you can see the waves are real small. A beautiful sunrise, and the surf is mostly around shin to maybe knee high on some set waves. Is there an over knee high wave? We will need a better looks to see. Light side offshore winds early, but not super clean. Maybe the wind can clean up this mini swell and could be fun at key spots on the right equipment. Again, we heard of some spots catching this swell yesterday. Not sure if it will do it again today.….

10:30 am: We have continued small scale surf with rideable waves at key spots at report time. The waves are in the half a foot to one foot range mostly, with the occasional larger set. Surface conditions are still super clean early, with our local winds currently blowing out of the W @ just 4 knots. Again, waves are in the shin to knee high plus range, with a high tide approaching at 12:35 this afternoon. With the tide push in the next few hours, you should be able to break out a soft top or a longboard at key sandbars.
6:20 pm: Late afternoon photos are up and posted in box #3 and you can see it oh so small now! So I focused on the crazy chage in our coastline around THE DREDGE. And did you hear an 80′ yacch hit the Dredge pipe offshore and is sinking? Check the last two photos in the slideshow from my zoomed-in 400 mm lens from off the end of the pier this afternoon looking eastward.

8:30 pm: New afternoon and evening photos are up in box #3 taken ealry afternoon at Crescent Beach(the first 9 photos) and again this evening @ 3rd Street, St. Augustine Beach. Some ridable but small surf for your Memoral Day today. We heard a rumor of a spot or two that had waist high sets. We didn’t see them, so where they really there? Maybe so! Now this evening… yes it is small but on our local buoy there is a slight bit of an increase tonight, Will it continue this new upward trend overnight? We will find out in the morning… I’ll be back early for your dawn patrol surf report and we will see what it looks like then… over and out.... .
