6:50 am: The waves are once again smaller than the day before. Wave size @ 1/2 a foot to 1 foot. Looking at it early early. The wind is offshore W early. On our St Augustine buoy the current morning reading is 2.0 feet at 7 seconds, down from yesterdays 3.9 feet at 6 seconds. The marine forecast calling for the wind to be NW then SE today. The water temperature is measured at 75.9 degrees again this morning at The Pier this morning, You can see the ocean live by viewing The Surf Station Cam Page here.

8:00 am: Early morning photos are up and posted in box #1 and you can see we have much smaller surf than it has been. A few freak waves left, and still a little bit of swell on the buoy offshore, so it wonlt be completly flat. Waves mostly shin to knee high with a possible freak thigh high glassy waves to be found. Look around for the right sandbar, and bring the small wave equipment…

1:55 pm: New late morning to mid day photos are up and posted in box #2 and you can see we have clean surf with offshore winds. Some thigh high, occasionally larger glassy waves around The Dredge with the ESE swell pushing both lefts and rights, but longer rights at the right Dredge spot take off. How long will the swell hold? We keep asking ourselves that. The buoy is trending smaller but overall sorta hangin’ in there, so we don’t know for sure….
