Weather comment taken off the bottom of the Surf Station Weather page :

6:30 am: Super hot today with a high of 96 degrees! Only a 10% chance of rain

Surf Reports comments:

6:55 am: The waves have dropped down even more since yesterday. Waves close to Flat. Flat to 1/2 a foot is the early morning call. The surface conditions are quite glassy with the wind W @ less than 5 knots. Our marine forecast is calling for offshore then brisk SE winds this afternoon. On the local buoy, the early morning reading is 0.3 feet in incoming ground swell measurements, down from yesterdays wave height measurment of 1.6 feet at 8 seconds. 7:45 am: Early morning photos are up in box #1 and it was a great and glorious sunrise, On the second look, the early flat call at daybreak can be adjusted to some almost knee high set waves, once in a while. It’s not flat… but overall shin high or so. It’s glassy, and breaking real close to shore. The very light wind contributing to the quite hot weather, even at the beach. A predicted afternoon seabreeze will help moderate the air temperature then and there.

2:00 pm: New early afternoon photos are up in box #2 and you can see it looks a little bit bigger than at daybreak as the buoy offshore bounces back a little bit. Some knee high or so semi-choppy waves with the young surf crowd having fun around the pier. Just when ya write a swell off, it bounces back. So good! Overall, the swell could get worse as the wind picks up, so don’t get too too excited….
