7:15 am: Wave height much larger as Hurricane Debby makes landfall in the Gulf. Wave size @ 3-5+ feet and very choppy. Our local buoy the early morning wave height reading is 7.9 feet at 7 seconds way up from yesterday mornings 2.0 feet at 4 seconds. Our local marine forecast calls for super strong SE winds today. The water temperature is measured at 80 degrees offshore this morning. You can see the ocean live by viewing The Surf Station Cam Page here.

8:15 am: New morning photos are up in box #1 and you can see we have super choppy surf for your Monday morning. Blown and super choppy waves withe a strong southerly current. Looks like some overhead waves on the outside. Super choppy. The local buoy wave height measurements continues to increase as the wind increases. We will see what happens throughout the day. Another update coming this afternoon if not sooner….

7:30 pm: New evening photos are posted in box #3 with it stormy at the beach! Some increasing junky waves angling in with lots of current. I believe that is Silas Miller in at least one of the photos, going left.
