6:40 am: Good morning! I have been checking the cams, buoy data, and eyes on look… and not a lot of good or bad news to report as far as todays surf. Looks similar in size to a tad smaller to more of the same with continued ESE swell. It’s not any bigger but is ridable, with waves height around 1 to 1.5 feet. The surface conditions are semi-glassy to glassy with the wind W to SW early, at 0-3 mph. Our marine forecast is calling for the wind to shift SE this afternoon and increase then. Our local buoy is currently reading s 2.3 feet at 8 seconds the same as yesterdays 2.3 feet at 8 seconds, Our water temperature is down to 82 degrees offshore. You can see the ocean live by viewing The Surf Station Cam Page here.
.
7:20 am: Early morning photos are up in box #1 and you can see there are waves, but small and mushy overall. Wave size @ knee to maybe thigh high. The surface condtions are semi-glassy to glassy with a super light wind from the WSW . Look for ridable waves all day as there is still swell on the buoys offshore…
.
12:15 pm: New mid morning and late morning photos are posted in box #2 taken from 3rd street and then at The Dredge, and you can see we have small overall waves, but fully ridable waves as we get closer to the weekend. The wind has picked up since the photos were taken so it’s getting choppier and will likely to contine to do so as the wind continues. Only a late afternoon shower could save us and make for less choppy surf. We will see if that happens before dark tonight, or not. Overall it appears the buoy has ticked downward, which is not good news. The good news is, larger surf is it he forcast in the dayz ahead……

7:30 pm: New evening photos are up and posted in box #3 and you can see line of clouds associated with a thundershower pushing through offshore. Waves are around knee to thigh high with wind changing direction so could get glassy or semi-glassy if the wind cooperates. Something to ride before dark if you can dodge the thunder.
And this will do it until early in the morning.. over and out..
