6:45 am: Early we have cloudy skies with the wave size similar in size to yesterday morning with waves shin to knee high, with some possible thigh high sets at times, looking at it early. The wind is offshore SSW @ 5-7 knots with the marine forecast calling for the wind to shift back onshore. Checking in on at our local buoy,… it has an early morning reading of 2.0 feet at 9 seconds the same as yesterdays 2.0 feet at 9 seconds. Looking to the N of us, the Grays Reef Buoy has a morning primary swell reading of 2.0 feet at 9 seconds up from yesterdays 1.3 feet at 9 seconds. Here is a look at the further out to the ESE at the East Canaveral Buoy early this morning, and well out in the Atlantic to the NE at the South Hatteras buoy for any hint of distant swell. Check the Surf Station You Tube Live Cam for a look at the surf this morning. The up to the minute wind data can be seen on the Surf Station Weather Station with another look seen at The Pier.
