6:50 am: wave height this morning is around Knee-thigh high, occasionally a little bigger around waist high on some sets, stronger W offshore winds this morning are making for some cleaner surf but definitely a little bit of chop to it as well. The wind is south as can be seen from the Surf Station Weather Station with another look can be seen at The Pier. The marine forecast. is calling for increasing S winds winds the wind increasing this afternoon.
Checking in on at our local buoy the early wave height measurement is 3.6 feet at 11 seconds changed from yesterdays 2.6 feet at 4 seconds. Here is a look at the further out East Canaveral Buoy which shows both swells this morning.
The swell direction measured by the Buoy Swell Combined Polar Spectrum shows 2 directions of the angle of todays swell with the primary angle shifted to SE with the dominant angle of 127 degrees compared to yesterdays 72 degree reading.
