7:15 am: The waves are choppy this morning with onshore winds. Wave height looks thigh to rib, occasionally a little larger. The wind is ESE @ 12-16 knots. On the local St. Augustine Buoy the early wave height reading is 6.6 feet at 10 seconds changed from yesterdays 7.2 feet @7 seconds. The marine forecast is calling for brisk SE winds today. See the hourly wind here and ‘up to the minute’ wind on the Surf Station Weather Station here).
Reporter: David Smart
12:00 pm: Wave height is still in the thigh to rib high range, kinda all over the place out there but the ESE winds have calmed down a bit since earlier so it is a little cleaner and not quite as drift-y compared to this morning.
Reporter: T. Strange
5:35 pm: Onshore winds but not as strong as earlier. The waves are a tad smaller but still plenty of surf. Some rib high or so waves. Bumpy with the onshore winds. No evening photos but check the fun waves from today up in the new blog below, or click here. It looks like the wind will stay onshore all the way up till dark tonight, but with the lighter wind the surf could improve some. See the Surf Station cam if you are checking the surf before dark.
This will do it until tomorrow morning. David Smart will be in early early with your Sunday morning surf report update.. over and out…
