Surf Reports comments:
6:20 am: The waves are looking smaller still compared to yesterday early, looking pretty bottomed out first thing. The waves are looking to be flat to 1/2 a foot, the surface conditions are glassy with calm winds early. The marine forecast is calling for E winds at 10-15 knots this afternoon. On the local buoy our early wave height reading is 1.6 feet @ 8 seconds, a slight increase from yesterday’s reading of 1.3 feet @ 8 seconds. You can see the surf conditions live on our cams page here.
2:00 pm: New afternoon photos are up in box #3 and you can see some ridable waves for the longboard crew around the pier area. Some knee high to occasionally knee high plus waves that are semi-choppy now as the wind is light onshore. Not sure what will happen as the tide pushes in. It’s a weak swell so the tide can help, or make things worse, we will see. The water looks clear and clean
In case we don’t make it back before sunset for yet another update, You can see the ocean live by viewing the Surf Station Cam Page here all the way up to dark tonight
