Thursday:
6:40 am: Small scale ESE lines early on this Thursday morning. The waves look about knee to occasionally thigh high. It has semi-glassy to glassy conditions early with the local pier data showing the wind is WSW @ 3-5 knots. The marine forecast calls for W winds at 15-20 knots today (see up to the minute wind info here). The local buoy is showing wind waves of 3.5 feet at 5.3 seconds up from yesterdays 3.0 feet at 5 seconds
7:45 am: Early moring photos are up in box #1 and on seconds look the surf looks a little bit bigger today than yesterday. Some glassy lines with more rights than left withe SE angle. Some may even be over thigh high. The high tide session could be fun this morning…
2:15 pm: Some fun waves in the morning (see late morning photos in box $#2 ) but as the tide went out the wind picked up offshore the offshore winds blew the waves smaller and smaller. In fact it’s much smaller now than the photos in box #2. Boy oh boy a west wind can kill a swell…
4:40 pm: Looking even smaller than before. Will we get a last gasp push with incoming tide before dark? Only if the wind lays down some…
5:30 pm: New photos up in Box #3, as you can see the surf continues to decline due to the hard offshore winds. The form is great, and if you have a board big enough to get into the declining surf, there could be some fun to be had
