The Surf Station is currently looking for motivated and innovative students for its semester-long and summer internships in the fields of media production, graphic design, accounting and/ or those interested in pursuing a career in the surfing or skating industries. Though unpaid, our internship program is very flexible, tailored to the interests of the student, and will offer great work experience. Positions include but are not limited to:
Media Production Internships
The Surf Station is seeking interns with interests in web design, videography, journalism, and photojournalism to learn about creating and managing content for surf-station.com
Depending upon the student’s interests, responsibilities may include:
- Covering local surf events for The Surf Station’s website
- Managing a section of The Surf Station’s online inventory
- Marketing Surf Station events
- Surf Reporting
- Sports photography
- Regular blogging
- Videography including short surf films and reporting
- Social Media management
Graphic Design Internships
Depending upon the student’s interests, responsibilities may include:
- Website ad design
- Print design (brochures, stickers etc)
- Apparel design
- Project budgeting
- Market research
Accounting Internships
Depending upon the student’s interests, responsibilities may include:
- Data Entry
- Payroll
- Inventory management
Skate Industry Internships
Depending upon the student’s interests, responsibilities may include:
- Covering local skate events for The Surf Station’s website
- Managing The Surf Station’s skate page
- Marketing Skate Station events
- Skate Reporting
- Sport photography
- Regular blogging
