Josh A
Alias: Sometimes they call me Tarzan.
Websites: I guess they’re ok.
Ladies: Its hard for me to find one in this town. If you don’t fit in with the bar/party scene here nobody really cares about you.
Pets: a big white polar bear named Lani, an orange cat named Jimi, and a blue and gold macaw named Chico.
Food: mushroom burgers!
Drinks: water, milk, gatorade, fruit juice.
Ride: 1998 white Chevy Blazer.
Music: Where do I start? Too many to name. Mostly old stuff from before I was born. I will say that I’ve never been more inspired than when I saw Michael Hedges play live when I was about twelve. I also love jazz.
Films: Again, too many to name. I’ll pick a few favorites: On the Waterfront, Robin Hood(the Disney one of course!), Big Wednesday, The Iron Giant, and Morning of the Earth.
Television: That show “Monster Quest” on the history channel always sucks me in. I always think they’re going to find a Bigfoot, but they never do. Ahhhhh!
Games: Video games give me migraines. I can’t stare at the screen like that.
Phone: Mine doesn’t ring very often.
Camera: I’ve taken pictures with them before.
Computer: I don’t like them and will never own one.
Spending: I like spending time with family and loved ones.
Vices: chocolate.
Spare Time: Guitar, playing with Lani, anything outdoors.
Beef: I can’t stand red meat.
Surfing: surfing is the greatest way to creatively express the joy and freedom of life.
Philosophy: Respect and love others.
Board(s): For St. Aug: 1967 9’7” Con C.C Rider, 5’7” old style quad fish.
Frontside: This is when you are facing the wave.
Backside: This is when your back is to the wave.
Wave: I wave at my friends when I see them go by.
Travels: I’ve been to Typhoon Lagoon twice.
Training: A bunch of different stuff. Swimming, paddling, running, bike riding, weight lifting, and yoga along with a balanced diet and plenty of rest has helped my surfing improve over the last few years.
Last Words: Nope.
