NY Weekend

Had a last minute call to travel to New York and work a few days in the tri-state. Hustled through some work and met some old and new friends on the ferry out on Governors Island for a free Phantogram and Caribou show. It was pretty insane as they ripped through two sets with lower manhattan looming across the river.
The next day we took trains out to Long Island and met up with John “Iceman” West and Chris “Tunes” Tomlin to beat the heat with an afternoon surf consisting of 70 degree waist high wedges. I knew I was soon in for it when tales of the Drift Inn began to stir after we got out of the water. Sure enough, the place wahzzes out and a cab is dropping us off with the sun coming up. Revenge was set and “Iceman” took the brunt of it getting iced after a quick nap. Overall, it was a great weekend. Thanks to Bert and Bethany for good times.

Tonight on “The Daily Habit” Pat Parnell, Sam Hammer, and myself will be going surfing in New Jersey. We shot the segment in late winter and scored some pretty fun surf in the Garden State. Pat and me were joined by Sam Hammer and Mike Gleason. It should be a fun little surf segment that will appear in Sam Hammer show tonight. Below are all the show details.
